By sealing deep grooves, dental sealants make it easier for children to keep their teeth clean, reducing the risk of plaque buildup and decay.
First, your child’s teeth will be thoroughly cleaned to remove any plaque or food particles. This ensures the surface of the teeth is ready for the sealant application.
A special dental solution is applied to the chewing surfaces of the molars, followed by the liquid sealant. The sealant is then painted onto the teeth and hardened with a curing light.
Once the sealant has hardened, the dentist will check to ensure the sealant has fully bonded to the tooth and make any necessary adjustments, ensuring a smooth and comfortable fit.
