Did you know…
Did you know that athletes are 60 times more likely to suffer dental injuries without a sports guard? Wearing a custom sports guard can significantly reduce the risk of mouth and teeth injuries.
At Memorial Children’s Dentistry, we focus on prevention, comfort, and long-term smile protection for children. Our board-certified pediatric dentists carefully check your child’s teeth and recommend dental sealants when they can help protect cavity-prone molars.
We make the sealant process simple, quick, and kid-friendly. With no shots or drilling needed, dental sealants are an easy way to give your child’s back teeth extra protection against cavities.

Sports guards provide a barrier that absorbs the impact, preventing tooth fractures, knocked-out teeth, and cuts to the lips or cheeks.
Our sports guards are custom-made for your child’s unique mouth shape, ensuring a snug fit and comfort during sports activities.
Sports guards are durable, easy to clean, and can be worn during any high-impact activity, making them essential for young athletes.
During the visit, the dentist will thoroughly examine your child’s teeth and may use X-rays to locate cavities or decay. This helps determine if a filling is necessary and ensures an accurate diagnosis.
Once a cavity is found, the decayed part of the tooth is carefully removed. The area is cleaned to eliminate bacteria and debris, creating a healthy surface for the filling.
A tooth-colored filling material is applied to the cleaned cavity, shaped to match your child’s natural tooth structure, and hardened with a curing light to ensure a secure, durable fit.
